“ Our favorite chicken. Juicy and not overly breaded. Make sure to use their special seasoning for the potatoes. The staff are friendly and the old fashioneds are really good. They have their own mix. We highly recommend. ”
“ Great food. Service was quick. All around great experience. Adding this to our list of places to stop when we're in the area. ”
“ I was here with a large group. Started off in the bar for drinks and "Oh What Fun!: It was mostly our group but several regulars were there and they were fun and engaging. This is a family owned business and they know how to deliver fun and food. They were busy, but made time to talk which always makes me feel welcome. They are known for their Wisconsin Old Fashions. I had a whiskey old fashion with sweet and sour (I'm complicated) and it was so good, had 2! For dinner we had the best fried chicken with light crispy skin (my fav), mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, the creamiest cole slaw, and dinner rolls. Will definitely make another stop that way, maybe to sub on their Monday night bowling team! ”
“ Don’t walk. RUN to Chet & Emil's, Inc. for the best damn broasted chicken you will ever find. My mother-in-law cleaned the bones off on her plate. It was that delicious. Let’s start with the broasted potatoes. OMG! Do you see the BUTTER on them? They must slice up and entire potato and drop it into the broasted. No “wedge” fries masquerading as broasted potatoes. And the dang coleslaw? Creamy, with just the right notes of vinegar. This is my new favorite coleslaw in the area! And finally the main attraction: the chicken. Hot, and crunchy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. I hate wasting food, so I always get the two-piece meal, all white. I have yet to leave hungry. If you walk - and don’t RUN - to Chet & Emil’s, we cannot be friends. UPDATE: we went there again tonight to use a very generous gift certificate based on my last review of Chet & Emil’s. As always, the meal was fantastic but this time, I also tried an old fashioned and let me just say these people know how to old fashion. We topped it off with a piece of caramel brownie cheesecake. I know it sounds like a lot but it was really good. The cook and waitress helped us out by posing for a picture with me. I know they thought it was weird, but I just really like the food there. As Jenny and I walked out the door, one of our bartenders came out after us and handed us two bottles of old fashion mix, and a set of directions on how to make it the Chet & Emil’s way. Next time? I’ve got my eyes on a t-shirt. ”
“ We stopped by on a snowy day with nothing else to do and we had a good time drinking and playing the various bar games. The bartenders are friendly and the food from the kitchen is really good as well. We got the fried mushrooms and fried curds to try and loved both of them. The drink selection is excellent and plenty cold. The prices are pretty good as well. They make a good bloody mary and the carbliss drinks are also good. They make a good kiddy cocktail as well. ”
“ Was on the way back from deer camp and decided to stop. Special early in the week are the broasted pork chops. I tried the broasted potatoes as well. Never had pork chops that way, same with the thin sliced potatoes. It was all excellent. Including my chilled salad bowl! Amazing amount of trophy deer lining the walls. Will be sure to stop again. ”
“ Their Broasted Chicken dinner is delicious!! Huge pieces of chicken On Sundays, it is family style and it is all you can eat!! Love this place. ”
“ Sunday special is very good. ”
